Why finding-your-north-star

Why the world’s obsession with speed is keeping us lost—and how one small shift can change your destination.

In our modern world, we are taught to value speed above all else. We are told to “get there” as fast as we can, but we rarely stop to ask if “there” is where we actually want to be.

Speed without direction is just a faster way to get lost.

In my books, I often write about the “moment of clarity”—that second when a person realizes they have been running a race they never signed up for. If you feel tired or overwhelmed today, it might not be because you aren’t working hard enough. It might be because you are fighting against your own true direction.

What is a “North Star”?

Your North Star isn’t a 10-year plan or a giant bank account. It is your core “Why.” It’s the quiet hope that keeps you steady when the world is loud. When you have a North Star, you stop comparing your pace to others. You realize that it doesn’t matter if someone else is sprinting if they are headed toward a cliff.

How to Re-Align Your Direction Today:

  • Silence the Noise: You cannot hear your own heart in a crowded room. Take five minutes of pure silence today.
  • Audit Your “Yes”: Are you saying yes to things that give you peace, or things that just give you more work?
  • Value the Small Turn: You don’t have to turn 180 degrees at once. A one-degree shift in direction today will put you in a completely different place a year from now.

Whether you are navigating life’s challenges through the stories in my books “When Survival Isn’t Enough” or seeking peace on OrnixMindset, always remember: It is better to take one step in the right direction than a thousand steps in the wrong one.

Fuel the Mind, and the Rise will follow.
